A real down-home place. Went here for a work dinner with 10 or 12 people. They had us seated in the private back room which was nice as we could have the door closed to all the noise from the rest of the restaurant. Our server Mindy was incredibly attentive and still checked on us often, making sure everyone’s needs were met. Apps (black bean cakes, crab dip, pesto flatbread) were all yummy and I enjoyed my ribeye which was cooked perfectly (medium and crispy on the outside) with some well-seasoned sides. They were very respectful of our party and let us take our time with our meals.
Great local bar and grill. Cozy relaxed atmosphere with good food. Service is fantastic! The Flat Iron steak was better than perfect!!!!
For decades Melito's has been one of my favorite restaurants. In 1958 I enjoyed my first Melito's hot dog at a restaurant operated by Jimmy Melito in Suffolk VA. It was exciting to see Richard open a restaurant in Richmond and be so successful. In addition to Richmond's best hot dog, the other menu offerings are outstanding. Service is great and prices are reasonable. My favorite waitress remembers to bring me a full bottle of Texas Pete with my dogs. At each visit I take a picture of Mr. Peanut as my grandfather was the pattern maker for the first Mr. Peanut. You cannot go wrong dining at Melito's. Merry Christmas
Great American food, but wish the booth wasn't so small. We ordered the black bean cakes and Chesapeake crab dip with pita as appetizers. I ordered the grilled rockfish sandwich with fries from the Monday specials. The owner even stopped by our table to check on us. Sher'Niyah did an amazing job taking our orders and making sure we were taken care of. The food was great and the service was phenomenal. I would recommend eating here.
The server was nice. Empty cups and plates removed quickly. Food was good. Menu has something for everyone.
I've only been once and was unaware of this restaurant until that visit. I liked it! Very friendly, quick service and great food. The place was very crowded so I'm not the only one with this impression.
Been in for lunch and dinner, both experiences were fantastic & food was delicious. Tammy is amazing and really knowledgeable about the restaurant & made the experience so much fun.
Lunch experience was overall great. Promptly seated, fast and friendly service. Waitress frequently made sure everything was up to par. Straight forward menu and ordering process. Food didn’t take long to come out and was overall excellent. Highly recommended.
